Faceless, Corporate CVS/Silverscript Part D Denying coverage of longtime medicine

I hate dealing with these huge corporations. They don’t care. We are numbers to them and they’ve decided my life is too expensive for them. Denial of benefits. Denial of expedited appeals process. Third party arbitrator that they own.

It happens to everyone. A medicine you really need is suddenly no longer covered. In my case, CVS deemed it not medically necessary for me to have Relistor, a drug I take when I really can’t go. I take tons of meds because of Tardive Dyskinesia and a microdose of Suboxone for Chronic pain, part of Tardive Dyskinesia.

Then I do an expedited appeal, and I’m denied again, and now……I’m sent to what’s supposedly third party arbitration, and it’s a phone number that nobody answers. Then I call Silverscript back, file a grievance and ask them when I will hear back on the grievance and they say, well, maybe thirty days. Then I ask about this third party arbitrator, Maximus, the one where no one answers the telephone, and there’s no timeline on when I might hear back from something I mail or fax. Just unbelievable.

I ask you…where do I lodge my next complaint?  This story about denial of benefits has been told time and again…..But I’m going to write about it….I just don’t know where.

Radio show “Breakfast With The Smiths” (I barely survived…and I’m a Smiths Fan)!

girlstogehterInstead of a picture of Moz, you get to see who owns us, who rules our world. They been thinkin’ outside the box lately. No reason, really. Getting older. Medicine from the Vet.

I listen to ‘indie 103.1, a podcast out of la using the handle of a former alternative radio station. I write during the morning of most days. Anyway, during “Breakfast w/the Smiths” I had my fill at the first song. So I went over to Oedipus’s site, where my old boss from “The Q” in Phoenix, Jonathan L, hosts “The Lopsided World of L.” It’s mostly new music but I liked “Retrograde” on indie 103.1.  Hearing The Police play “Murder By Numbers” is killah. I don’t like everything they do but that song is irrestible to me.

ITunes has ‘lost’ half my 4000 songs. I’ve bought and paid for them, but the computer says It can’t locate them. The customer service person who I had an appointment with a few weeks ago ghosted me and has ghosted me ever since.

This newspaper column, called “The Haggler” in the New York Times says he’s done a handful of Apple cases this year and that they basically blow off trouble clients and focus on the bottom line. Speaking of ‘Lines,’ I might just drop one to “The Haggler.” Apple has already abandoned me and made off with about 2000 worth of songs.

I see forums of people online having the discussion about the greyed out fields with an exclamation point to the right of the song’s name.

Wells Fargo Ad Hardly Hilarious

Has anyone else seen these pastoral images of surety in full page apology ads and found it odd?

I wonder if the ad agency got the memo. They have to come up with something new. Like a photo of their entire management team bowed in supplicatio. Seriously. Horses?

They use these horses and talk about how sorry they are that they betrayed our trust.

They should have pictures of their entire sales team bowed in supplication showing how sorry they are they got caught.

Opiod Replacement Pain Medicines in Pipeline..?: Will we get ’em? Do they want us to get ‘well’?

So much is being made on black marketed prescription drugs like oxy and ‘the box’ that you gotta wonder The FDA and DEA are at cross purposes because pain advocates are pushing back, assisted by big pharma. Why not, right? The CNN Story with Anderson Cooper distorted it further. So much confusion we’re not entitled to ‘straight dope’ on this issue. I recently learned IBUPROFEN and Tylenol, my first line “go tos” destroy a digestive enzyme, furthering the constipation problem I suffer with it. hey, someone’s gotta speak up.

So, here’s holistic hope to hold onto, sorta..this will be a pricey pharmaceutical too: Hot off Press this week-Duke University Study isolated pain receptors TRPV4 and TRPAI and have a way to activate them; releasing natural endocannibinoids (not endorphine..that was debunke4d ages ago) to secrete natural painkillers for our comfort.

Organic stuff, sad to say, like MS contin, which I took for sixteen years, are actually better for your overall systemic health than NSAIDs which harm the liver and destroy digestive enzymes. Whoops I’m repeating myself. I just wanted you to know the knews. \

And I have yet another natural way of dealing with chronic pain in this article. A click is all it takes to make my day. At least you aren’t making Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook richer. If you click this, you are helping me and my platform. Am I going about this the wrong way? I should be listening to your aches and pains and I promise to do more of that. It, too, is a natural painkiller, releasing a substance called Oxytocin, the ‘love’ hormone begotten of human interaction with those you care about even if you’re separated by miles and held together by broadband.
